We are planning to observe the transit of Venus at sunrise here in Shetland and plan to set up a live stream of what we see .
Chris is currently looking into setting this up for you .
The plan is to work in conjunction with the Roseland Observatory in Cornwall, who will also stream their view of the event.
Watch this space for more information on how we are progressing and for details of how you can see the live feed as it happens.
If all goes well, I will post a link here so that you can join our stream. Don't forget, you can also view the event on the Roseland site. Between us, we hope to get a good (cloudless) view of the transit. If our view is hampered by cloud, you should be able to go to Roseland and (hopefully) get a better view.
We will do our best to make this happen for you. If all else fails, you can maybe use the SLOOH space camera link - please see our links section for details.
